AKA,
a local rapper, went all out for his cotton fest performance, giving a show
that people will remember for a long time. AKA appears to have smoked the piece
pipe with Da L.E.S., another rapper.
The
rappers worked together on the smash tracks "Real Stuff" and
"All Eyes on Me," which they performed live.
Supa
Mega came to Instagram to share a video clip of Da L.E.S joining him on stage,
which he described as "heartwarming."
AKA
cited the lines "I was dreaming of the past... and my heart was beating
fassst" in his caption. Pusha T's latest song "Dreaming Of The
Past," which features Kanye West, contains the line.
The
two had had a long-standing bromance, but there was a fallout that caused them
to stop hanging out together as much as they used to. The cause of the uproar
is unknown, although there has been plenty of speculation. AKA has remained
tight-lipped about the status of his relationship with Da L.E.S.
In
prior interviews, Da L.E.S has openly discussed his feud with AKA. He discussed
the status of his relationship with AKA during his interview on "Behind
The Story."
“People who know me know I’m a
non-confrontational kinda guy, do you know what I’m saying? So if I don’t get
with your energy anymore, I have to protect my energy first. So that’s where
the relationship is right now,” he explained to host Nomalanga Shozi.
During
an episode of Lasizwe's "Drink Or Tell The Truth" broadcast on
YouTube, Da L.E.S also cleared the air regarding AKA sleeping with his baby
mother. Lasizwe posed the following question to him: “You did a diss track
about AKA sleeping with your baby mama. Is that why you are not cool anymore?
Will you ever make peace?”
“I
am glad you asked me this question. No 1, that track was never about AKA
and that’s on period. No 2, don’t believe everything people say, and
No 3, I love my family with all my heart, so I just decided to choose a
path of family and I got a new kid on the way.”
Da
L.E.S clarified his and AKA's positions by saying: “We were at the Spar the
other day and we were just conversing, so there isn't any beef … just because
MacG said something does not mean it is true.”
