The Maybach Music Group is planning to sign African artists

Ross, Meek Mill, Wale, and others are signed to the label. Ross revealed in a video on YouTube that the idea came to him while he was visiting the continent during Easter weekend.
"I simply woke up here on Easter, and all I wanted to do was offer love and rep," he added. "I feel like there are just not enough American musicians bringing attention to Africa and supporting African artists, so all I wanted to do today was get up and walk out into the city." I'm going to the ghetto, I'm going to places where the cops won't go, and I'm simply going to show love." He proceeded to offer love to his family as well as everyone who has been repping Rick Ross, MMG, Bel-Aire, Bumbu, McQueen, Villion, and all of the true brand ambassadors.
In another video, the 45-year-old praised other African singers and announced that he will sign two new talents to his MMG roster.
"After seeing so much talent and so many fly artists and dope performances in Nigeria the other night, it's official," Ross remarked. "Rick Ross' Maybach Music Africa will sign two acts. From sections of Africa, you better believe it, so let's keep in touch and create."
On Instagram, Rick Ross uploaded more footage from his trip to Nigeria. He had his Bel-Aire Wine & Spirits event and after-party in Lagos when he was there, and he tried Jolly rice for the first time. In other footage, the Florida native is seen going around communities in Angola with residents. Ross labeled one set of images, "Africa the Beautiful."
