Intaba Yase Dubai ufuna imali from Big Zulu and Ambitious Entertainment!
Following
Intaba Yase Dubai’s claims that he was not paid even R1 for his feature on
Imali Eningi, Ambitious Entertainment and Big Zulu have responded.
Taking
to social media, Intaba Yase Dubai, who many feel is responsible for the song's
success due to his catchy chorus, lambasted those responsible for not paying
him what he is owed. "Nothing compares to the agony of watching
another man profit handsomely from your labors while you go broke." I'm
sorry, but I absolutely despise features. Because you must act like we're all
fine when just one of us is..." he asserted. "Mali Eningi's streams
have surpassed 12 million." But I'm out of money. "I never even got
R1."
Ambitious
Entertainment, on the other hand, asserts otherwise. According to the
arrangement they supposedly reached, they own 25% of the blockbuster hit's
masters. Nkabi Records, according to the shamed record label, paid them a total
of R94 527, 31. They stated that the money was paid out in three monthly
installments, beginning November 5th, and ending February 11th. Big Zulu, on
the other hand, claimed that they paid Ambitious immediately after the song was
launched, although their statement claimed that the first payment, R36 713, 24,
was made a year later.
Big Zulu said his label appreciates AE's commitment to conduct an audit, but that the firm responsible for making the payments should be held accountable. He even went on Instagram Live to explain the matter. He stated in his statement that all concerns were addressed directly with Ambitious, and that he should take it up with them rather than with him. "I just thought I'd take care of this Intaba Yase Dubai issue." My record label handled everything correctly. He knows who he signed what with, thus he could inquire about it at his record label, Ambitious Entertainment. "My record label is not involved in this," he clarified in a subsequent statement. "As Inkabi Records, we would want to state that all due diligence, agreements, splits, and contracts relevant to Mali Eningi were handled with the label to whom Intaba Yase Dubai is signed, Ambitious Entertainment, and that this was done prior to the song's release."
